Cleidson R. B. de Souza is an Associate Faculty at the Federal University of Pará, Brazil. His current research interests are in collaborative software development. He has organized workshops at conferences like CSCW and ICSE before. He was co-chair of the Brazilian Symposium in Collaborative Systems in 2012 and helped to organized the writing workshop that took place that year. He also was one of the co-chairs in the Latin American writing workshop that took place in 2015 in Brazil.

Claudia Lopez is an Assistant Professor at the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, in Chile. Her research focuses on the design, use and evaluation of social technologies for civic engagement. She participates in the HCIxB community, and serves as vice-chair of the Santiago-Chile ACM SIGCHI Chapter. She has participated in the CSCW conference since 2012 as an author, reviewer and workshop organizer.

Francisco J. Gutierrez is an Adjunct Professor in Human-Computer Interaction and Social Computing at the University of Chile. His current research interests are the design, use, and evaluation of domestic systems to support intergenerational communication and e-coaching systems to promote active aging. He is one of the Chile liaisons for the ACM SIGCHI Across Borders Initiative (HCIxB) and actively promotes the awareness on HCI and CSCW research, development, and education in the country. He serves as an ACM SIGCHI Ambassador since 2017 and currently chairs the recently formed Santiago-Chile ACM SIGCHI Chapter. Since 2015 he is actively involved with the CSCW conference as an author, external reviewer, and Associate Chair.

Laura S. Gaytán-Lugo is a Research Professor at the University of Colima in Mexico, appointed at the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. She focuses on human-computer interaction. Her research interests include serious games, user experience design, child-computer interaction and evaluation methods. She serves as a research vice-chair of the Latin American HCI Community and as an ACM SIGCHI Ambassador. She is part of the HCIxB community.

Marcos Borges is Full Professor of the Department of Computer Science at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He obtained his Ph.D. in Information Systems at the University of East Anglia in 1986. His research interests are in Group Decision Support Systems and Collective Knowledge Transfer. He orients his research to the application domain of emergency management. He was the Co-Chair of Workshops at the ACM CSCW Conference in 2016 and the PC Co-Chair of ACM CSCW Conference in 2017. He is also the co-founder of the Latin America Workshop on Groupware dating from 1995. He is currently a member of the Steering Committee of IEEE CSCWD and the President of ISCRAM (Information Systems for Crisis Response and Management) Association.

Cecilia Aragon is Professor of Human Centered Design & Engineering at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA, USA. Her research focuses on human-centered data science, an emerging field at the intersection of HCI, CSCW, and data science. She has participated in the CSCW conference since 2004 as an author, reviewer and workshop organizer. She was awarded a 2017-18 Fulbright Fellowship to conduct research and teach visual analytics in Chile.
